How to Find a New Moms Groups in Orlando

Becoming a new mom is a wild ride! It’s joyful, amazing, exhausting, and unfortunately, sometimes downright lonely. One of the best things you can do for yourself and your baby is to find a community of other new moms. Having friends who get it—who understand the realities of new motherhood—can make all the difference. If you’re a new mom in Orlando and looking for a moms group, here are some options to look into.

Local Hospitals and Birth Centers

Start with the obvious. Often times hospitals and birth centers will host support groups for new moms. These groups are usually run by professionals who know their stuff and provide a safe space to vent, ask questions, and get real advice. Check out the Mother-Baby T.E.A. at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies or Baby Bunch AdventHealth for Women (they host in Orlando, Winter Park, Daytona Beach and Davenport!).

Local Libraries

Don’t overlook your local libraries! They typically host free or low-cost meetups and classes for new parents where you can bring your baby along. Visit your local branch or check out the Orange County Library website for event calendars. Two of our favorites are the Mindful Start Family Yoga classes and the Bilingual Storytime,

Online Platforms and Social Media

Let’s be real, we’re all online. Platforms like Meetup.com and Facebook are great for finding new moms groups. Search for “new moms groups Orlando” or “new mom group in {My City} and dive in. You’ll find plenty of options—join a few and see which ones fit.

You can also check out the Orlando Mom Collective - they have a variety of events planned throughout the year - some that are for you to attend on your own and some you can bring your baby to!

The Mom Co (previously MOPS) has a lot of great groups throughout the Orlando area - including Sanford, Windermere, Ocoee, Oviedo, and Winter Garden. Search for one that’s convenient for you and fits with your schedule. Make sure to look at the “interests” section as it lists a particular focus or age group.

Parks and Playgrounds

Sometimes you just need to get out of the house. Orlando’s parks are perfect for this. Head to Lake Eola Park or Bill Frederick Park and you’re bound to meet other new moms. Step out of your comfort zone and strike up a conversation—you’re all in the same boat.
