Whether you are planning an all natural unmedicated birth, a planned epidural at the hospital, a homebirth with your midwife, a VBAC, or a repeat cesarean, your birth doula will provide unbiased education and physical comfort throughout each stage.

The experienced and professional birth doulas on our team pride themselves on providing you the best care possible. From guiding you and your partner through pregnancy and educating you on comfort measures, to being there on the day your baby arrives with knowledge and expertise - your doula is by your side through it all! Birth doulas work as a part of your overall birth team, alongside your doctor, midwife, and nurses to ensure steadfast support.

What to Expect from Your Birth Doula:

Each doula on our team offers their own unique style of care with varying packages. You can expect birth doula support to include some or all of the following:

Prenatal Support:

  • In-home or virtual prenatal visits

  • Guidance with birth planning

  • Exploration of comfort measures & positions for labor/birth

  • Phone, text & email support throughout pregnancy to answer questions between visits

  • On-call support towards the end of pregnancy (typically 37 or 38 weeks)

Labor & Birth Support:

  • 24/7 on-call availability throughout early labor including text and phone support or virtual support

  • Continuous in-person support while you labor & birth at home or hospital

  • Hands-on comfort measures including massage, breathing instruction, informational support, and emotional support.

  • Guidance and support for your partner

  • Help advocating for your choices and desired birth plan

  • Help navigating any recommendations from your care provider or changes to your birth plan

After Baby is Born:

  • Support and advocacy for skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, and bonding

  • Help with initial newborn care and navigating newborn care procedures

  • 1-2 in-home visits within the first few weeks after birth

  • Ongoing virtual support for baby care, breastfeeding, or general postpartum recovery questions
